Romantic Watercolour Florals- All Day Workshop- Saturday 7th February 10-3pm.

The Old Fire Station, Port Sunlight. £55

Relax and unwind into a day spent painting beautiful romantic flowers like Roses with watercolours.

A day workshop gives the perfect opportunity to fully immerse yourself in the subject and create a painting to be proud of!

A great day out for friends to connect or even to celebrate a special occasion.

Either way, you will really enjoy your time working with watercolours!

Flowers are my favourite subject to paint with watercolour, it’s a subject I come back to time after time with the variations each season brings.

I love using watercolours as it is such a versatile medium, with its excellent light and translucent qualities. Building up layers of colour can give watercolours a vibrancy, depth and detail and I’d love to share my techniques to achieve this with you!

We will start the day by sketching and painting simple flower and leaf shapes, getting to know the subject. With the techniques gained from these exercises we will  develop a floral painting, thinking about the composition and mix of flowers to use.

I will demonstrate each technique at the start of the session and you will be provided with all materials and the still life to draw from.

I will provide hot drinks and biscuits throughout the day but feel free to bring a packed lunch or visit the lovely cafes close to the venue.
