Art Courses
Join me for 6 week drawing and painting courses. The only way to improve a skill is to practice, practice, practice! Regular weekly art classes will give you the time to develop skills and learn new techniques by trying different mediums and subjects. It’s a great way to meet people with similar interests and become part of the art community.
Classes are taught in a relaxed and friendly way with one to one advice and help given through out the session.
At the start of each week I will demonstrate the steps and technique to guide you through the weeks chosen theme. As well as continuing with Watercolours we will dive into fluid and flowing inks, gouache and creative mixed media.
All materials are provided along with hot drinks and sweet treats!

Week 1: Bright Shells…
Exploring delicate and intricate shells, amping up the colours to create bright, vibrant artworks.
Week 2: Inky Peonies…
Using the bold and deeply saturated colours of inks to celebrate the prettiest flower of the season.

Week 3: Fantastical Flowers in Gouache…
Inspired by the flower patterns of the Textile designer Josef Frank we will create striking, stylised floral paintings in gouache.
Week 4: Decorated Letters…
Beautifully decorated letters with the humble black biro!
Week 5: Repeating Patterns…
Discover a simple but magical way of creating a simple repeating pattern using fine liners and a hint of watercolour.
Week 6: Fashion Illustrations…
Inspired by the pages of Vogue, create dynamic fashion drawings using mixed media.

A little bit about myself…
I am an artist and designer with over 20 years experience working in the design industry, having graduated with a 1st class degree in Fashion Print from the prestigious Central St Martins College of Art, London.
I have a passion for drawing and painting, which has been a constant in my life and career. I am an experienced tutor of adult art classes and a printed textile designer who has worked with many well known international brands. I design my own range of products which are sold at independent shops across Wirral, at fairs and here on my website.
