Art Courses
Join me for 6 week drawing and painting courses. The only way to improve a skill is to practice, practice, practice! Regular weekly art classes will give you the time to develop skills and learn new techniques by trying different mediums and subjects. It’s a great way to meet people with similar interests and become part of the art community.
Classes are taught in a relaxed and friendly way with one to one advice and help given through out the session.
At the start of each week I will demonstrate the steps and technique to guide you through the weeks chosen theme. As well as continuing with Watercolours we will dive into fluid and flowing inks, gouache and creative mixed media.
All materials are provided along with hot drinks and sweet treats!

Week 1: Butterflies, Moths and Feathers…
Exploring delicate and intricate patterns, colours and forms of butterflies, moths and feathers with watercolours.
Week 2: Illustrative Florals…
Using washes of watercolour, black fine liners and dip pens to create colourful, illustrative floral forms. Focusing on linear details of ornate flower shapes like Irises and daffodils.
Week 3: Black and White Easter Eggs…
Using the humble black biro and black ink we will create striking Easter Egg designs adorned with Spring scenes.
Week 4: Blossom…
Inspired by beautiful Spring blossom, we will create gouache artworks on coloured grounds.
Week 5: Paint your Pet…
Paint your beloved pet (or someone else’s!) in watercolour. Learn how to capture the texture of fur and character in faces!
Week 6: Decorative Paisley…
Creating bold and vibrant paisley patterns, developing depth of colour and texture with Gouache.

A little bit about myself…
I am an artist and designer with over 20 years experience working in the design industry, having graduated with a 1st class degree in Fashion Print from the prestigious Central St Martins College of Art, London.
I have a passion for drawing and painting, which has been a constant in my life and career. I am an experienced tutor of adult art classes and a printed textile designer who has worked with many well known international brands. I design my own range of products which are sold at independent shops across Wirral, at fairs and here on my website.
